Final 13

Here is a compilation of the last 13 photos on my camera roll for the month of June.

July 4th Patriotic Stripes

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays, not just because of the warm weather and casual family time but mostly because my closet is 3/4 red, white and blue! A classic striped tee with white chino shorts is the perfect way to go for a casual and fun day with family (especially if you're going to be up and around doing things) and fireworks in the evening. Chino shorts are one of my go to pieces when it comes to putting together a casual outfit; they are simply so classic, comfortable and match just about anything. You simply can't go wrong!

4th of July Outfit Essentials

Since my closet is already 3/4 red, white and blue, the 4th of July is the perfect holiday for me, but with it only one week away, it's becoming crunch time to put together the perfect outfit to show off your American pride! The holiday is also the perfect time to try out those summer trends you've had your eye on but haven't yet caved into such as floppy hats, tassel earrings, midi skirts, and jumpsuits. No matter what you end up wearing though, don't forget to put on a dash of bright red lipstick! Check out my 4th of July outfit essentials for this summer linked below!

Blush Ruffles + Polka Dots

Blush ruffled sweater // Polka dot pants, similar here // Gold monogram necklace (gift), similar here // Pearl earrings // Similar nude clutch here and here // Brown wedges, similar here (on sale!) // Aviator sunglasses

I don't think I've worn as feminine and beautiful of an outfit as this one in a long time. I love oversized blush sweater with the white polka dot pants; they make such a bright and beautiful combination. Also, a girl cannot get enough ruffles! This sweater would be extremely flattering on any body type and is super light so it is still easily wearable during the summer. While I probably wouldn't wear it in the midday heat, it is just right for the cooler evenings and indoor events.

Coral Cutie

Coral romper // Navy cardigan // Colorful sandals // Brown crossbody purse, similar here (less than $20!) // Gold monogram necklace (gift), similar here // Pearl earrings // Aviator sunglasses

This romper is very similar to the romper I wore in this post. I couldn't get enough of the ruffles on the other one, so naturally I had to buy another one in a different color! This bright coral color is perfect for summer! Plus, this romper is extremely light weight, like it almost feels like you're wearing nothing. I chose to pair it with this navy boyfriend sweater to give it a more relaxed look. It's also very helpful for all the restaurants who have their AC cranked a little too high (basically every restaurant ever). I'm very glad I added this fun little number to my ever growing romper collection!

Weekly Weakness

I have been dying to get my hands on a pair of seersucker shorts lately. They light weight fabric is perfect during the warm weather, and they are so classic and preppy that they would be the perfect addition to anyone's closet. My personal favorite seersucker shorts are those from Lauren James; they have an adorable bow on the front and come in 9 different colors  (my favorites are the lavender and mint ones) so you're sure to find one you like! Unfortunately, I'm not willing to dish out $72 for them right now, but Red Dress Boutique has a pretty good dupe for them for only $34 dollars! (but they only come in blue)

If bows aren't your thing, Southern Marsh has some super cute shorties in blue and pink. They are significantly cheaper at $49 and have a fun little band of color at the bottom that you can choose to flip up or down. They are almost more of a more casual option to the seersucker trend.

What have you been eyeing this week? I'd love to know!

Pink + Polka Dots

Skirts have been one of my favorite clothing items lately. They make me feel so girly, and they are a cooler option come the hot days of summer. I am in love with this bright pink skirt from Lulu's; it fits very nicely and is extremely light weight. Skirts are quickly becoming a summer staple for me!

Instagram Roundup

Happy Friday y'all! This post is long overdue but continue reading for some of the details of my recent Instagram posts...

Rightly Ruffled

Just because it's raining outside is no excuse to stay in all day and mope around; you can just brighten up your outfit with a fun umbrella to protect your long locks that took forever to style that morning. Now onto the actual outfit at hand. I got this romper last year from Fab Finds Boutique when I fell in love with the ruffled detailing at the bottom (which is super on trend now). It has turned into one of my all time favorite rompers because I just feel like the ruffles give the perfect feminine touch!

Green and Navy Chevron

I wore this outfit on a double date to the drive-in last night. It was the perfect outfit to be both comfy and cool while still looking cute. We saw Jurassic World at the drive-in; we spent most of the time talking and snacking on Twizzlers, but I still think the movie was pretty good.

Aztec Jumpsuit

I used to think jumpsuits were only a thing for taller girls, but let me tell y'all...I was WRONG. When I walked into Forever 21 and saw this I instantly fell in love; while it was a little out of my comfort zone I decided to try it on. Thank goodness I did! I love how bright and airy this jumpsuit is. It is so unbelievably comfortable too! It would be perfect if you're going on vacation to a tropical destination, or you could even rock it right in the middle of suburbia like I do!

Comfy Maxi

This outfit has seriously been my uniform the past couple weeks; if I'm ever going somewhere this is the outfit I reach for first every time. (I think I've worn it 4 times this week...whoops) Not only is it super comfortable but it also still looks put together. The colorful statement necklace also adds that perfect amount of feminine sparkle to the otherwise simple outfit.

Bikini So Teeny

Now the weather here in Kansas may not be agreeing with me (maybe some of y'all are having better luck, it's rainy and 65 degrees nearly everyday) but it is officially summertime, and you know what that means: days at pool, lake, and/or ocean! And what better way to start off summer by stocking up on some super cute and colorful bikinis?! Here are some of my favorites for this summer.

Where is your favorite place to get swimsuits?

Sweet Scallops

Mint scalloped crop top, similar here // Pink scalloped shorts, similar here // Embellished sandals (they're sold in stores, just not online), similar here

I've been loving the two-piece sets lately, and while this duo is not technically a set, I think it gives off the same look and is just as cute! I think the bright pink and mint green compliment each other very nicely (it kind of reminds me of a watermelon). This is also a classy way to rock the crop top trend; I like how since the shorts are high waisted the top hits right at the top of them so other people only see a hint of skin when I move a lot or lift my arms.

Weekly Weakness

I have been eyeing this romper from Forever 21 for months now. Luckily it keeps getting restocked; I just don't know if I'm ready to make the purchase quite yet. While it is only $19.90, many of the reviews comment on how the chest area is a little big or revealing so they have to wear a bandeau underneath it. Regardless, this is an adorable romper. I love the bright blue and pink floral combination for the summer time!
