Lilly Pulitzer dress (last year) // Lilly Pulitzer pink bow belt (last year) // Similar nude clutch // Nude heels // Similar gold monogrammed necklace // Wristology gold watch // Pearl studs
Three weeks ago Matthew's brother got married, and I was super excited when his family invited me to attend. But like any other girl I was kind of stressing over what I should wear, so I decided to share with y'all the two outfits I decided to wear over the weekend. I actually wore this outfit to the wedding rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, but I think it could definitely work for a casual daytime wedding. You know those backyard or outdoor weddings that are getting more and more popular? This would be the perfect outfit!
Unfortunately this is a dress from last year's spring collection (you may be able to find it on a re-lilly Facebook page), but honestly just about any Lilly Pulitzer dress would work. I have linked my favorites below! I chose to keep the accessories super simple since Lilly patterns are definitely bold enough to stand on their own. The nude heels dress up the outfit just enough to be wedding appropriate, but if you're anti-heels or will be on grass for a lot of the time, these embellished sandals look just as nice with the dress!
Fuchsia shift dress // Royal blue cross body purse, similar here // Nude heels // Similar gold monogram necklace // Wristology gold watch // Bracelets // Similar pearl dangle earrings
This is the outfit I wore to the actual wedding; the dress itself is so comfortable and can be as dressed up or dressed down as you want. The wedding itself was very fun and sweet; they are such a cute couple! One of the funniest moments would have to be when Matthew needed to cough during the ceremony (he was a groomsman) and he started crying because he was trying so hard to hold it in!
Anyways! Back to the outfit! When it comes to events I love to have a purse that I can put over my shoulder rather than hold in my hands. I just like to have my hands free, is that weird? This royal blue purse was perfect for the evening. Not only was it the perfect pop of color with the fuchsia, but it was also roomy enough to fit a pair of sandals in, because you know this girl isn't trying to awkwardly dance in heels! Also, wearing simpler simpler dresses is the perfect opportunity to add some bling bling on your wrists. I got my big gold watch from Wristology; it was exactly what I was looking for: a classic gold watch that won't break the bank! (under $50)
Hopefully this was some kind of help to those who are stressing about what to wear to a summer wedding. When in doubt just remember to follow these three general rules: don't wear white, steer away from black, and try not to match the bridesmaids.
Hello dear, I wanted a venue having beach side view with amazing party hall. Finally I have decided to hire Chicago event space for my party. Now I am hoping it to be a perfect venue in all aspect.
