I used to think turtlenecks had their time and place, and that was in my mom's closet during the early 2000s. I even recall having a couple in my own closet back then, including a lovely, lavender, itchy snowflake one (shutters). But they have made a comeback this season, and I will be the first to admit that while I was at first hesitant, I have happily jumped on this trend and don't see myself going back anytime soon.
The turtleneck neckline adds an immense cozy factor to any sweater that cannot be found with your go-to, standard, crewneck one. Also, one of the greatest things about this amazing T.J. Maxx find is that it not only meets the cozy criteria in apparel today but also the oversized fit. Y'all, I can't even manage to wear a size small t-shirt anymore, much less a sweater, so the oversized fit not only satisfies my comfort needs but it also looks too cute and chic (and maybe still a little suburban mom-ish?).
