Now that May is coming to a close, I have posted the last 13 photos on my phone's camera roll. This month I not only started summer break but I also got a puppy! I'm warning you now, most of the pictures this month are of animals, whoops!

Happy Memorial Day weekend y'all! All I have to say is I'm envious of you if you're somewhere sunny and warm this weekend because Kansas has been so dreary lately, but the not so great weather makes for the perfect excuse to go shopping and take advantage of all the Memorial Day sales!

Rocksbox's New Look!

My all-time favorite subscription box just got a makeover! While the little white box with black calligraphy and a hot pink box was adorable, Rocksbox has a whole new sophisticated and simply beautiful appearance, and I am loving it! The neutral navy box with a light pink bow and a gold etched logo is simply stunning, and the available goodies to potentially be placed in your box just get better and better.

Yes, you read that right. This crazy cat lady got a Great Dane! Needless to say, I was super surprised when my mom texted me a picture of this little cutie saying he would be ours a couple months ago, and this past Saturday, we welcomed him into our home!

A collared shirt and chinos is a timeless look. I've worn variations of this outfit since middle school, and year after year it still looks cute! I gravitate towards this outfit when I'm looking for something comfortable yet still put together; it's also great for when situations where you want to look conservative but fun, for example, hanging out with your boyfriend's family.

There's something to be said about the "preppy" style. It is so classic. Take this top for instance; I dug it out of the depths of my mom's closet, and it still looks cute as ever! I love mixing the bright orange and pink for a super feminine spring look, and then the white tassel earrings add the perfect trendy flare.

Like dresses, I love rompers for their ease. You can simply throw it on rather than find pieces that match and figure out how to style them together. I was particularly drawn to this one because of how soft and comfortable it was. It literally feels like I'm wearing pajamas, making it perfect for traveling, running errands or simply having a fun, adventurous day while still wanting to look cute!

Hot pink is such a fun and vibrant color that you're bound to turn heads in this ensemble. I particularly love this surprising find from Dillard's because of the unique zipper neckline, and it has POCKETS! A dress is automatically 1000x better when pockets are included. Often pockets on dresses leave an unflattering bulge around the waistline, but these are so well tailored that I didn't even know they existed for a while!

Lightweight rompers are definitely a staple in my spring/summer wardrobe. I especially love this blue one not only because of the color, but I also love the henley neckline. Let's talk about these white tassel earrings, though! They were a summer staple for me last year, and I have no doubt this summer will be any different! The best part about them is that they're super lightweight, so they won't pull on your ears and hurt. Plus, they're less than $15 right now!

Pink and blue will always been two of my favorite colors, and it's hard to go wrong when pairing them together. This striped trapeze top is super thin and light weight which makes it perfect for the summertime heat that is coming our way, and the bright pink shorts add the perfect pop of color.

While oversized t-shirts and norts are an easy and foolproof go-to (especially in college), pairing your tee with a pair of tailored chino shorts can bring your look from "I woke up like this" to preppy and cute. This t-shirt from Southern Grace Company has remained one of my favorites, even in the mix of all of my Comfort Colors sorority tees, because of its beautiful blue color. I loved putting it with a pair of light pink shorts that match the pink detailing on the shirt.

Today I'm mixing up one of the chicest color combinations, black and white, with a fun and feminine flair. While the solid black top along with the black accessories keep the outfit sophisticated, the polka pants add a younger factor to the whole look, and the Kendra Scott earrings along with the high neckline add a dash of class.
