Final 13

I'm back in Manhattan, so the final 13 photos on my phone's camera roll are going to become fun again! Gone are the days where 3/4 of the photos are of my fur babies; instead, they'll be mostly sorority pictures, sorry not sorry.

Yesterday I shared with y'all my favorite transitional top, and today I'm sharing my favorite bottoms for this awkward lull between seasons. Loving is an understatement for how much I am obsessed with these high waisted, tailored shorts. The light taupe/brown pattern is perfect for the approaching fall weather!

Every time I have opened my closet lately, I have reached for this top. The color, material and cut is all spot on for the ultimate transitional top. While we don't want summer to be over, I think we're all itching for fall fashion right about now, and this blouse is the perfect piece for both the summer and fall.

Gingham has clearly been one of the standout patterns this season, but I don't think I ever met a piece quite as charming as this one. The lighter blue mixed with taupe is perfect for a softer, more feminine look rather than the harsh navy and white while still being able to work as a transitional piece.

"I'm a Barbie girl, in a Barbie world..." 

That's what I instantly think of every time I put on a hot pink blouse. To be fair, it doesn't get much more feminine or Barbie-esque than a hot pink and white combo. This blouse I picked up from Scoobie is great for the last month of summer (I can't believe I'm saying that), especially against a nice summer glow!

I'll be the first to admit this outfit does not fit my typical style, but it's always a little fun to jump outside your comfort zone and experiment with different looks. And in this case, I would say this experiment was a win! I ended up loving the way this casual yet trendy lace up tee fit from Scoobie. It was super soft and comfortable and is also a great transitional piece from summer to fall.
