Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! I'm trying out something new today where I share all of my favorites from the past week with y'all, so be sure to let me know if you like it. I think I'm going to make this a series for every Friday from now on! Also, if you have any other suggestions of other favorites of mine you would like to see be sure to let me know in the comments below.

Fashion Finds

Off the shoulder sweaters have been super popular way of carrying the off the shoulder trend into the fall lately, and I came across the perfect off the shoulder sweater today; it would make for a great, fall date night look with the cozy texture and feminine neckline. I need it in my closet ASAP.

I have also been eyeing this simply beautiful and chic crossbody purse lately. I think the chic grey color and mix of textures would make it the perfect everyday bag for both fall and especially winter.

One more thing, there's no denying that suede skirts are all over the place this season, but I found this really unique paneled suede skirt from Dillard's this week, and I'm kind of loving it. The mix of colors make it perfect for the season, and it's a unique twist on a piece that everyone is already wearing.

Shopbop is having their "event of the season" through tonight! With the code "MAINEVENT16" you can get 25% off when you spend $500 and 30% off when you spend over $500. While I'm in no position to splurge on any big ticket items right now, if you've had your eyes on one recently, now is the time to buy! Or you can just browse and look at the lower priced items like me!

25 Simple Ways to Fall in Love With Your Life This Month

Olivia listed some great pieces of both life advice and ideas of ways to treat yourself yesterday. Some of my favorites that she listed are numbers 13, 18 and 25.

Rainy Day Outfit Ideas

I also loved this post by Olivia where she shared an extremely girly way to rock rainy day apparel. I loved seeing how she dressed for the dreary weather, since I feel like it has been raining a lot lately!

"Austin" by Blake Shelton

I can't help but completely jam out and sing at the top of my lungs whenever "Rock On" comes on in the car, and lately I've been loving listening to some old, emotional songs like "Run" and "Austin".

"Now and then it's good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy." -Guillaume Apollinaire

"The best apology is changed behavior."

"Have enough courage to trust love one more time and always one more time." -Maya Angelou

Even though I've had three exams this week, this has been one of the calmest weeks I've had in a long time. I feel like I've actually had a chance to just relax and breathe in the evenings, and with that free time I've taken it upon myself to get some "adult tasks" accomplished. Among other things, I've taken the time to register to vote and even watch the presidential debate. For someone like me who is still kind of in denial that I'm growing up, those are some rather large steps!

As of now, I seem to have a pretty chill weekend ahead of me as well. Nearly every person I know is going home this weekend...while it may be a pretty boring weekend, it will give me the chance to get ahead on writing some blog posts! I say that now, but I'll probably just end up binge watching Law and Order SVU...
