Happy Monday y'all! I'm not going to lie, I was dragging this morning; between waking up to thunderstorms and the pure idea of it being Monday, getting out of bed was by no means a small undertaking. But the dreary day reminded me of the day I spent in Aspen, Colorado this summer! It was overcast and rainy the whole day I was there, but that didn't stop my family and I from exploring the area.

Los Angeles Travel Diary

Today I want to share with y'all the longest stop on my family and I's West Coast roadtrip, Los Angeles. We spent two full days here, one exploring the city and the other enjoying Venice Beach. While I'm sure we only made a dent in everything there is to do and see in the city, we made the most of our 48 hours! My brother is now set on living here when he grows up, and while I had so much fun experiencing LA, I think I'll stick to living vicariously through my favorite TV shows!

Venice Beach

TOP: American Eagle (sold out, similar HERE) | SKIRT: Altar'd State denim skirt | SHOES: similar HERE | SUNGLASSES: Aviator sunglasses | EARRINGS: Pearl stud earrings | NECKLACE: Kendra Scott 'Elise' necklace | LIPS: Maybelline lipstick in 'Pink Me Up'

Don't mind me, I'm just looking back on my summer beach days while everyone else is in full on "fall mode". While I love fall fashion, it's no secret that summer is my favorite time of the year. For me summer brings time to read, family adventures and, best of all, beach days! This July I spent a couple days at Venice Beach, and it was a great change of pace (and temperature!!) compared to the week prior spent in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest.

Final 13

I'm back in Manhattan, so my final 13 posts are about to start becoming a lot more fun again! The first half of August was spent participating in sorority recruitment, a.k.a. two of my favorite weeks of the year, and today I just wrapped up my second week of classes. I can't say I'm super excited about any of my classes this semester, but I am feeling more motivated than ever. I've also been loving living in my sorority house again, and some of the memories I've made this month have been the best yet!

Now that I've given y'all the rundown of my month let's get into the last 13 photos on my phone's camera roll. First are some pictures from BID NIGHT! I don't know how it's possible, but bid night becomes more and more fun every year. Welcoming our new members home, watching them dance on the porch for the first time and dousing ourselves in glitter will never get old! Bid night, and recruitment in general, always reminds me there's truly no place like Alpha Xi .

Purple Beaded Necklace

T-3 days until the first K-State football game! While I may not be going to the game because I'm going home for Labor Day weekend, that doesn't mean I'm not going to start getting excited and sharing some gameday inspiration for y'all including this purple beaded necklace

Stay Gold

TOP: T.J. Maxx (similar HERE) | SKIRT: Altar'd State denim skirt | SHOES: Target pearl slide sandals (less than $25!) | PURSE: similar HERE | SUNGLASSES: Aviator sunglasses | EARRINGS: Pearl stud earrings | LIPS: Revlon lipstick in 'Women's Wear'

In my perfect world it would be summer year-round. 365 days filled with bright colors, tan lines and sunshine is really all this girl wants, and even though fall is quickly approaching, I felt like I was living the end of the season up in this summery top and denim skirt!

Blush Bell Sleeves

DRESS: Lulu's shift dress (sold out, similar HERE) | PURSE: T.J. Maxx (similar HERE) | SHOES: Target studded sandals (sold out, similar HERE) | EARRINGS: Kendra Scott stud earrings | NECKLACE: Gold bar necklace | RINGS: similar HERE | LIPS: NYX butter lipstick in 'Root Beer Float'

We all have that dress we never want to take off, and this blush, bell sleeved beauty is mine at the moment! It's the most dreamy late summer dress, and I'm already looking forward to carrying it over into the fall as well.

San Francisco Travel Diary

While I don't understand the allure of most big cities, after a day and a half in San Francisco and one of the most intense leg workouts ever (the hills are killer y'all...), I didn't want to leave. I don't know how else to describe the city besides excitingly vibrant; I felt like there was color and happiness around every corner! Hopefully I can give y'all a better idea as to why I loved this city so much as I go through everything I did!

Glass Beach

As my family continued our drive down the California coast, San Francisco bound next, we stopped at Fort Bragg Glass Beach to get a closer look at the Pacific and see for ourselves the unique sea glass along the shore. And while a five hour drive feels like nothing to my family, the ocean breeze was a refreshing and much need break from the car.

My Go-To Outfit

TOP: T.J. Maxx (similar HERE) | BRALETTE: Altar'd State racerback bralette | JEANS: Flying Monkey dark wash jeans | SHOES: Target pearl slide sandals (less than $25!) | PURSE: Tory Burch 'York' tote | SUNGLASSES: Aviator sunglasses | EARRINGS: Pearl stud earrings | NECKLACE: similar HERE | WATCH: similar HERE | LIPS: Revlon lipstick in 'Womenswear'

Ever since I've been old enough to dress myself I feel like my go-to outfit has always been some variation of a v-neck tee paired with jeans and sandals. In middle school it was the Aeropostale graphic tees (anyone else??), in high school I gravitated towards basic, fitted ones, and recently, I've been wearing loose, oversized tees, like this pretty pink one, nonstop.

Redwood Forest

TANK: Old Navy henley tank (less than $10!) | SHIRT: similar HERE | JEANS: Flying Monkey jeans | SHOES: white sneakers | EARRINGS: pearl stud earrings

After spending a couple days in the Pacific Northwest, my family and I started our drive down California, and our first stop was Redwood National Park. On our drive there my siblings often asked what was so special about it, but their questions quickly ceased once they saw the unbelievably massive trees that made up this wooded area.

Junior Year Goals

Today is the first day of my junior year of college, and let's just say I'm having a really hard time coming to terms with that. The idea of being halfway done with college is simply mind boggling, and even scarier is the reality that I'm only two years away from being done with school forever and starting a career. High school feels like both just yesterday and a hundred years ago, but what's even crazier than the proximity of those memories is how drastically different I feel between those four years.

Seattle Travel Diary

Hey y'all! In my last post I shared the most adorable dress that I wore for my day in Seattle, but today I want to share all the details about everything I did in the city. This was my first time in Seattle, and to be honest my only preconceptions about the city came from what I saw on Grey's Anatomy... but I'm happy to report that it was much better than I expected, so much so that Seattle may be tied with San Francisco for my favorite city that I visited last month!

Polka Dots on the Pier

When I was in Seattle I was walking along the water when I came across the cutest lemonade stand and just had to stop for a sweet treat between lunch and dinner. As I was sipping one of the most delicious lemonades I've ever had, I enjoyed the little glimpse of sunshine on the pier in the cutest polka dot sundress!

4 Hours in Yellowstone

I love road trips. 15 hours in a car? Sounds like a dream come true to me! But one of the main reasons I love road trips so much because they allow for spontaneity, and that's exactly how this quick stop in Yellowstone came about.

Final 13

July easily held my favorite memories this summer. The first half was full of traveling (tons of pictures to come starting tomorrow!), and since I've gotten home I've been soaking up the little bit of time I have left with my cat (as you will be able to tell from these pictures) and my family. I'm so excited to move back to Manhattan next week, but I also don't want to wish away my last few days home!

With that being said, let's jump into the last 13 photos on my phone's camera roll!

Pom Pom Sundress

Hi friends! It's been a hot minute since I last talked to y'all. I spent the first half of July traveling all over the West Coast, and then I desperately needed a week to rest and recoup before jumping back into things. But now that I'm back I'm so excited to share with y'all this bright and fun pom pom dress from Adorn

Is there a color more suitable for the middle of summer than a bright and vibrant yellow? I don't think there is, and with the ruffled sleeves and eyelet detailing I can't think of a more fitting romper!

30 Minute Home Workout Pt. 5

TOP: exact HERE | LEGGINGS: Marshalls (similar HERE)

I can't help but laugh at the irony as I sit here and write the last part of my home workout series while eating leftover Chinese takeout. Oh well, that's why we workout right?? So we can eat more good food?! Kidding...kind of.

But here we are finishing off my weekly home workout routine with this oh-so-inspiring Mean Girls tank. I found this in the depths of my closet and just had to bring it out for today's post!

A classic stripe with a hint of ruffle...loving this simple look to beat the heat!

30 Minute Home Workout Pt. 4

TOP: FitWear (available in stores) | LEGGINGS: Marshalls (similar HERE)

We're coming close to the end of my home workout series with part 4 of 5 today, but before we jump into this week's sweat sesh I want to talk about this outfit really quick!

As cute as patterned leggings and flowy tops are there's something about a basic workout look that's just as great! This basic navy tank from FitWear can be paired with just about anything, and while these leggings are a pretty bright statement, at less than $15 they were quite the steal!

Marshalls is one of my favorite places to buy affordable leggings. They always have such cute and trendy styles for less than $20 making me wanting to just browse the racks without spending any money nearly impossible!

Happy 4th of July!

I didn't intend for this look to be so fitting for the Fourth tomorrow, but this sassy romper was just begging for a bold, red lip to go along with it!

Final 13

Can y'all believe it's the end of June because I sure can't! It flew by if you ask me, but in as always, at the end of each month I think it's fun to share with y'all the last 13 photos on my phone's camera roll!

This batch is a tad embarrassing...

Neon Two Piece

SET: Adorn (available in stores or 913-707-7546) c/o | PURSE: Tory Burch tote | SHOES: similar HERE | EARRINGS: Pearl stud earrings | BRACELET: Kendra Scott cuff | LIPS: Maybelline lipstick in 'Pink Me Up'

I've been wanting to try out a matching set for quite a while now, and when I saw this light and bright two piece set from Adorn, a local boutique for all you KC ladies, I knew it would be so cute and fun for summer!

30 Minute Home Workout Pt. 3

SPORTS BRA: FitWear Boutique (available online HERE) c/o | LEGGINGS: FitWear Boutique (available online HERE) c/o

Good vibes only.

I've always been one who believes my mindset about something directly affects how I will experience it. If I go into something, whether that be an event I don't want to be at, a workout, cleaning, etc., telling myself it's going to be fun and awesome, more often than not it turns out that way!

Asymmetrical Eyelet Dress

DRESS: Scoobie (currently 25% off! available in stores or sarah@shopscoobie.com, similar HERE) c/o | SHOES: Studded gladiator sandals (50% off!) | EARRINGS: Kendra Scott earrings | WATCH: Wristology gold watch | RINGS: similar HERE | LIPS: Revlon lip stain in 'India Intrigue'

Y'all already know my love for little white dresses, but the eye-catching, asymmetrical sleeves and eyelet detailing made this one a summer favorite!

4th of July Inspiration

Not only is the 4th of July one of my favorite holidays (I can never decide between the Fourth and Christmas!) but it's also the most fun to dress for! The options for a red, white and blue combination are truly endless, and stores are truly filled to the brim with patriotic pieces right now. The easiest way to create an outfit for the 4th of July is by pairing together blue and white pieces with pops of red in the accessories/lips, but this year I'm challenging myself to rock some red!

Comfy 4th of July Outfit

TOP: Scoobie (available in stores or sarah@shopscoobie.com, similar HERE) c/o | SKIRT: Scoobie (available in stores or sarah@shopscoobie.com, similar HERE) c/o | SHOES: Target (old, similar HERE) | EARRINGS: Pearl stud earrings | WATCH: Daniel Wellington watch | LIPS: L'Oreal lipstick in 'Eva's Red'

The 4th of July has always been one of my favorite holidays to create outfits for. I love the challenge of finding the perfect balance between comfy and cute, and let's just say there's never been a shortage of red, white and blue in my closet!

30 Minute Home Workout Pt. 2

TOP: FitWear Boutique (available in stores) c/o | SPORTS BRA: Calvin Klein bralette | LEGGINGS: FitWear Boutique (available in stores or buy online HERE) c/o

Hey y'all! I'm back with part/day 2 of my weekly workout, but first, I want to share with y'all this unbelievably comfy and soft athlesiure look from FitWear boutique! You can wear this look at the gym, running errands, around the house, etc., but you'll still feel like you're wearing pajamas.

I especially love the slouchy pockets on the tank, and the sports bra I'm wearing underneath it has to be the comfiest one I've ever owned! It's easily one of my most worn pieces, so I need to pick up a few more ASAP!

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy

TOP: Scoobie (available in stores or sarah@shopscoobie.com, similar HERE) c/o | DRESS: Scoobie (available in stores or sarah@shopscoobie.com, similar HERE) c/o | SHOES: Target sneakers | EARRINGS: Pearl stud earrings | WATCH: Daniel Wellington watch | LIPS: Revlon lip stain in 'India Intrigue'

What if I told y'all I used to eat full lemons for lunch in eighth grade...would y'all believe me?? Well it's true, and while I still love the taste of lemon here and there, I now prefer them either in the form of lemonade or printed on cute tops like this one from Scoobie!

Friday Favorites

Hey y'all! I'm back with another round of my Friday favorites, and boy oh boy are there some good ones this week!

Black + Blue Embroidery

Black and blue isn't a color combination I see very often, which is why I was instantly drawn to this summery top from Scoobie

30 Minute Home Workout Pt. 1

TOP: FitWear Boutique (available in stores or buy online HERE) c/o | LEGGINGS: FitWear Boutique (available in stores or buy online HERE) c/o

Hey y'all! I know what you're probably thinking...Autumn? Exercising? HA. If you would have told me that this time last year I probably would have thought the same thing, but as of recently I have had this strange desire to get active again.

Summery Earth Tones + GIVEAWAY

SWEATER: Roe Boulevard Aspen sweater c/o | SKIRT: Roe Boulevard floral skirt c/o | SHOES: Michael Kors sandals (nearly identical HERE) | EARRINGS: similar HERE | NECKLACE: Sophie Harper bar necklace (got in my Rocksbox!) | WATCH: Daniel Wellington watch | LIPS: Revlon lip stain in 'India Intrigue'

Versatility is a trait I value when shopping for clothes. While we all probably wish we had endless bank accounts, shopping with multiple seasons in mind, like I did with this outfit, is ultimately better for the majority of us who are very budget conscious! This outfit from Roe Boulevard can easily be transitioned between summer and fall without much thought at all, therefore doubling the amount of wears I'll get out of it!

Summer Tassel Tank

The open back, the tassels, the brights colors...this top was clearly made for the beach, but since I'm going nowhere near the beach for quite a while, I made it work in the city!

Light & Bright Florals

TOP: Scoobie (available in stores or sarah@shopscoobie.com, similar HERE) c/o | JEANS: Articles of Society jeans | SHOES: Target studded sandals | PURSE: Tory Burch tote | EARRINGS: Purple Peridot (sold out, similar HERE) | WATCH: Wristology Rachel watch | LIPS: Maybelline lipstick in 'Pink Me Up'

Today we're shaking off the Monday blues with this light and bright floral top from Scoobie. From the ruffles to the fun straps to the pretty baby blue, this top is the perfect transitional piece between spring and summer!

Friday Favorites

Hi friends! I'm wrapping up this week with a quick roundup of my favorites over the past couple weeks. I've found some of the cutest items of the season yet, and I can't get enough of all the new songs being released!

Basic Tank with a Twist

A basic white tank is a must have in anyone's closet; it is versatile, timeless and sure to be worn a countless amount of times. Although, today I'm sharing with y'all a trendier take on the wardrobe essential with this twisted hem tank that will without a doubt be a summer favorite!

Final 13

With May came the end of the the school year and a lot more time to spend with family. Even without classes, I feel like life has done anything but slow down, but I'm so thankful to be spending the next couple of months with my family, especially our cat Thor! So in honor of the end of another month, let's dive into the last 13 photos on my phone's camera roll, which will give you a little taste to the crazy antics of my and my family's life lately!

Preoccupied with Pink

ROMPER: Scoobie (available in stores or sarah@shopscoobie.com, similar HERE) c/o | SHOES: Bamboo Faith sandal | EARRINGS: Francesca's (old, similar HERE) | WATCH: Daniel Wellington watch | RINGS: similar HERE | LIPS: NYX lipstick in 'Root Beer Float'

Flowy fabrics, cutout sleeves, a hint of tassel and a dash of pink all came together to make this beautiful summer romper, and with its effortless yet dreamy fit, it's a piece that can be styled for any occasion!
