Last week I took a quick weekend trip to Colorado with my family, and this outfit was ideal for the varying temperatures throughout the day! It got into the high 60s every day I was there, but once the sun set the mountain chill definitely kicked in.

Cardigans have always been my best friend when it comes to varying weather. They're a feminine layering piece that can easily be tied around your waist when it starts to get a little too toasty. As you can see, they definitely came in handy this trip! One of my favorite places to find cardigans is Old Navy. They're cheap but great quality!

Also, I know the color scheme in this outfit is a little fall looking, but I couldn't bring myself to break out my spring pastels and brights in Colorado. It just didn't feel right... Although, I found this simple pocket tee, that was perfect in the warm midday sun, at my local Target for only $5!! It was such a steal! It's super soft and lightweight. I can't wait to wear it in the summer with jean shorts and sandals. I'd highly recommend picking a few up if you're on the hunt for some basics as it comes in a ton of colors.

I hope everyone had a fun spring break! I'll be sharing all the details of mine in Colorado tomorrow. I can't believe I'm now in the final stretch of the semester. It's definitely going to be an insanely crazy six weeks, but it's also sure to be a blast!
