Springtime with JORD

When I think of springtime images of flowers, rainy days and light and bright clothing immediately pop into my head, and as you can probably tell, I've managed to squeeze all three of those things in my first of many spring posts! 

Nothing screams spring to me like flowers in full bloom on rainy, overcast days which is exactly what we've been experiencing here in Kansas for days on end. And while it might not be the hot summer days that I desperately crave, it's a pleasant reminder that sunshine is right around the corner! Although, there is one thing I simply can't get enough of during spring, and that's the clothes! 

Spring brings out all things pretty, light and feminine in the fashion industry, which is right up my alley, and there will be plenty of pastel and floral outfits to come. But today I wanted to share with y'all this fun and cozy outfit that is perfect for the season's early chill.

I paired a white cable knit sweater from Walmart (it was only $8!) with a scalloped hem denim skirt, bringing in the feminine details I love. I then threw on my trusty pair of white Keds, a risky move for a rainy day, to keep the look casual. Finally, my favorite part of the outfit, pulling it all together, is my wooden JORD watch! 

Like I said, spring is all about light and bright to me, so this watch was the perfect, casual alternative to my typical chunky gold watch. JORD watches are such a unique accessory since they are made from wood, making them bound to catch anyone's eye. I personally love the light maple wood of this watch because it goes with any outfit too!
