Versatile Summer Maxi

It has been hot, hot, HOT the past few days in Manhattan, and I've been loving every second of it not only because I love the heat but also because I can finally start pulling out my summer clothes like this OTS maxi from Simply Shine Boutique!

For as long as I can remember, maxi dresses have been my mom's summer go-to. It's hard to think of a summer day she wasn't wearing one, and when I wore this dress this past weekend I totally understood why! It was not only super comfy but also kept me cool all day. 

I especially love the ruffled off-the-shoulder sleeves; they're so summery, fun and feminine! Some may say the OTS trend is becoming a little overdone this summer, but I think this dress is a classic take on it. An off-the-shoulder neckline is also a great choice when you know you're going to be outside all day because you won't be left with awkward tan lines. 

The versatility of this dress is astounding as well. I kept everything fairly simple here (my accessory collection is clearly not ready for the colorful summer months), but this dress would look so fun paired with any color you could imagine! The outfit options are truly endless; add a colorful pair of earrings, a clutch or stack of bracelets and you're set!
