Final 13

I'm back in Manhattan, so my final 13 posts are about to start becoming a lot more fun again! The first half of August was spent participating in sorority recruitment, a.k.a. two of my favorite weeks of the year, and today I just wrapped up my second week of classes. I can't say I'm super excited about any of my classes this semester, but I am feeling more motivated than ever. I've also been loving living in my sorority house again, and some of the memories I've made this month have been the best yet!

Now that I've given y'all the rundown of my month let's get into the last 13 photos on my phone's camera roll. First are some pictures from BID NIGHT! I don't know how it's possible, but bid night becomes more and more fun every year. Welcoming our new members home, watching them dance on the porch for the first time and dousing ourselves in glitter will never get old! Bid night, and recruitment in general, always reminds me there's truly no place like Alpha Xi .

Purple Beaded Necklace

T-3 days until the first K-State football game! While I may not be going to the game because I'm going home for Labor Day weekend, that doesn't mean I'm not going to start getting excited and sharing some gameday inspiration for y'all including this purple beaded necklace

Stay Gold

TOP: T.J. Maxx (similar HERE) | SKIRT: Altar'd State denim skirt | SHOES: Target pearl slide sandals (less than $25!) | PURSE: similar HERE | SUNGLASSES: Aviator sunglasses | EARRINGS: Pearl stud earrings | LIPS: Revlon lipstick in 'Women's Wear'

In my perfect world it would be summer year-round. 365 days filled with bright colors, tan lines and sunshine is really all this girl wants, and even though fall is quickly approaching, I felt like I was living the end of the season up in this summery top and denim skirt!

Blush Bell Sleeves

DRESS: Lulu's shift dress (sold out, similar HERE) | PURSE: T.J. Maxx (similar HERE) | SHOES: Target studded sandals (sold out, similar HERE) | EARRINGS: Kendra Scott stud earrings | NECKLACE: Gold bar necklace | RINGS: similar HERE | LIPS: NYX butter lipstick in 'Root Beer Float'

We all have that dress we never want to take off, and this blush, bell sleeved beauty is mine at the moment! It's the most dreamy late summer dress, and I'm already looking forward to carrying it over into the fall as well.

San Francisco Travel Diary

While I don't understand the allure of most big cities, after a day and a half in San Francisco and one of the most intense leg workouts ever (the hills are killer y'all...), I didn't want to leave. I don't know how else to describe the city besides excitingly vibrant; I felt like there was color and happiness around every corner! Hopefully I can give y'all a better idea as to why I loved this city so much as I go through everything I did!

Glass Beach

As my family continued our drive down the California coast, San Francisco bound next, we stopped at Fort Bragg Glass Beach to get a closer look at the Pacific and see for ourselves the unique sea glass along the shore. And while a five hour drive feels like nothing to my family, the ocean breeze was a refreshing and much need break from the car.

My Go-To Outfit

TOP: T.J. Maxx (similar HERE) | BRALETTE: Altar'd State racerback bralette | JEANS: Flying Monkey dark wash jeans | SHOES: Target pearl slide sandals (less than $25!) | PURSE: Tory Burch 'York' tote | SUNGLASSES: Aviator sunglasses | EARRINGS: Pearl stud earrings | NECKLACE: similar HERE | WATCH: similar HERE | LIPS: Revlon lipstick in 'Womenswear'

Ever since I've been old enough to dress myself I feel like my go-to outfit has always been some variation of a v-neck tee paired with jeans and sandals. In middle school it was the Aeropostale graphic tees (anyone else??), in high school I gravitated towards basic, fitted ones, and recently, I've been wearing loose, oversized tees, like this pretty pink one, nonstop.

Redwood Forest

TANK: Old Navy henley tank (less than $10!) | SHIRT: similar HERE | JEANS: Flying Monkey jeans | SHOES: white sneakers | EARRINGS: pearl stud earrings

After spending a couple days in the Pacific Northwest, my family and I started our drive down California, and our first stop was Redwood National Park. On our drive there my siblings often asked what was so special about it, but their questions quickly ceased once they saw the unbelievably massive trees that made up this wooded area.

Junior Year Goals

Today is the first day of my junior year of college, and let's just say I'm having a really hard time coming to terms with that. The idea of being halfway done with college is simply mind boggling, and even scarier is the reality that I'm only two years away from being done with school forever and starting a career. High school feels like both just yesterday and a hundred years ago, but what's even crazier than the proximity of those memories is how drastically different I feel between those four years.

Seattle Travel Diary

Hey y'all! In my last post I shared the most adorable dress that I wore for my day in Seattle, but today I want to share all the details about everything I did in the city. This was my first time in Seattle, and to be honest my only preconceptions about the city came from what I saw on Grey's Anatomy... but I'm happy to report that it was much better than I expected, so much so that Seattle may be tied with San Francisco for my favorite city that I visited last month!

Polka Dots on the Pier

When I was in Seattle I was walking along the water when I came across the cutest lemonade stand and just had to stop for a sweet treat between lunch and dinner. As I was sipping one of the most delicious lemonades I've ever had, I enjoyed the little glimpse of sunshine on the pier in the cutest polka dot sundress!

4 Hours in Yellowstone

I love road trips. 15 hours in a car? Sounds like a dream come true to me! But one of the main reasons I love road trips so much because they allow for spontaneity, and that's exactly how this quick stop in Yellowstone came about.
