Final 13

Looking back through my pictures from October I'm just trying to wrap my mind around how I did. It was one whirlwind of a month to say the least! From becoming a grandma (in my sorority haha!) to KC Fashion Week to K-State Homecoming and everything in between I'm surprised I still managed to squeeze in watching seven seasons of Friends this month! As usual, to celebrate the end of the month and reminisce on all I've done, I'm sharing with y'all the last 13 photos on my phone's camera roll!

Friday Favorites

Hellooo Friday! This week was a long one, but I'm so glad the weekend is finally here because I have absolutely no plans! Wow does that feel good to say... But before I kick back and start enjoying my relaxing weekend, I want to share with y'all this week's favorites! There's quite a few awesome new arrivals, and if you don't read anything else in this post at least watch the last 10 seconds of the cat video I shared. It had me laughing all day yesterday!

4 Reasons to Stay in on a Friday Night

On weekends in college there's always something to do, whether that means going to a party, spending a night out with friends or exploring the town, but to be honest, some of my favorite Friday nights have been spent laying around the house with absolutely nothing to do. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does I always find myself feeling extremely content, relaxed and telling myself that I need to stay in more often! Today I'm sharing with y'all the four reasons why I enjoy staying in on Friday nights and why it's sometimes much needed!

Vivacious in Velvet

DRESS: Scoobie (available in stores or sarah@shopscoobie.com, similar HERE) c/o | JACKET: similar HERE | SHOES: Sam Edelman Benjie boot | EARRINGS: Gold hoop earrings | NECKLACE: Gold bar necklace | WATCH: similar HERE | LIPS: Revlon moisture stain in 'India Intrigue'

My favorite clothing pieces are those that I already know how I'm going to style the second I lay my eyes on them. When I saw this velvet shift dress on Scoobie's Instagram story a couple weeks ago I immediately imagined it paired with a denim jacket and black booties. Then the next day I headed over to the store to pick it up and bring this sassy fall outfit to life!

90s-Inspired Corduroy

TOP: Scoobie (available in stores or sarah@shopscoobie.com, similar HERE) c/o | JEANS: Flying Monkey dark wash jeans | SHOES: similar HERE | EARRINGS: similar HERE | NECKLACE: Gold bar necklace | LIPS: NYX butter lipstick in 'Root Beer Float'

I like to call this my "Ross" shirt. I've been watching Friends for the past month, and this corduroy shirt reminds me exactly of what Ross always wore during the first couple seasons of the show. Although, I will say paired with skinny jeans, booties and tassel earrings, it looks a whole lot less masculine!

Feeling Like Fall

DRESS: Scoobie (available in stores or sarah@shopscoobie.com, similar HERE) c/o | BOOTS: Circus by Sam Edelman Parker boots | EARRINGS: Gold hoop earrings | NECKLACE: Gold bar necklace | WATCH: Daniel Wellington leather watch | LIPS: Revlon matte balm in 'Sultry'

A hint of chill mixed with fallen leaves floating through the air (and maybe hitting me in the face as I walked to class) this morning gave me all the fall feels that have been missing in Manhattan lately. For weeks now I've seen everyone enjoying all things fall: leaves, pumpkins and sweaters, and it seems like Manhattan is finally starting to catch up! To go along with welcoming fall I thought I'd share with y'all this flannel dress from Scoobie that perfectly encapsulates this season!

Friday Favorites

Hey y'all! Can I get a hip hip hooray for Friday?! Even though I'm going to be locking myself in my room and studying most of the weekend (too many exams, too little time...), I hope y'all have an exciting weekend ahead, and before I head off to my school's homecoming parade I want to share with y'all my weekly favorites!

Healthy + Shiny Hair with Tea Tree Oil Shampoo

With my long locks, shiny and healthy hair is something I've always wanted to achieve but never could, and when I tried Maple Holistics' Tea Tree Oil shampoo I was shocked because I am by no means easy to please when it comes to hair products. Over the past four years I've only found one shampoo that works with my build-up prone scalp, and I've stuck by it loyally ever since. That is until Maple Holistics sent me their Tea Tree Oil shampoo, and it not only made my hair 10x shinier but also kept my hair clean and build-up free!

Purple Plaid

TOP: Scoobie (available in stores or sarah@shopscoobie.com, similar HERE) c/o | PANTS: similar HERE | BOOTIES: Sam Edelman booties | EARRINGS: Gold hoop earrings | NECKLACE: Gold bar necklace | LIPS: NYX butter lipstick in 'Root Beer Float'

It's homecoming week here at K-State, and with another football game this weekend it's time to start figuring out the perfect outfit! I feel like cute purple pieces are so hard to come by, but I found this shirt at Scoobie this weekend and knew the purple plaid would be so fitting for the fall football games.

Overalls for Fall

OVERALLS: Scoobie (available in stores or sarah@shopscoobie.com, similar HERE) c/o | TOP: Madewell henley tee | BRALETTE: Aerie white bralette | SHOES: similar HERE | EARRINGS: Pearl stud earrings | NECKLACE: Gold bar necklace | WATCH: Daniel Wellington leather strap watch | LIPS: NYX butter lipstick in 'Root Beer Float'

This may just be the most "Kansas" outfit I ever share with y'all! I think the last time I had worn overalls was when I was a toddler, but surprisingly, they have come back in style this season. I had seen tons of other people style them in the cutest ways, but I didn't think I'd be able to pull them off until I came across this pair from Scoobie that fit like a glove!

5 Fall Essentials in College

During the first two months on campus I rarely if ever wear anything other than a t-shirt and Nike shorts to class because honestly, I'd sweat to death in anything else. Although, once the cooler weather starts to kick in, I tend to have a little more variety in what I wear. Don't get me wrong, leggings and a sweatshirt are an easy go-to, but I've noticed five other staples in my closet that I gravitate towards when I want to look a little more put together but still comfy in fall!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! Going into the weekend I want to share with y'all tons of fall fashion finds as well as other miscellaneous things to read, watch and listen to! There's so many things I'm loving right now, so I tried to narrow it down, but be sure to check out the shopping widgets in my sidebar for even more. I hope everyone has a fabulous week and happy shopping!

SheIn Cold Shoulder

I'm starting to sense a trend here this week... Every outfit I've shared with y'all this week has included some sort of embroidery, so I think it's safe to say it's one of my favorites this season! Today I'm sharing with y'all another adorable AND affordable top from SheIn that is perfect for the transitional weather!

What to Wear on a Hot Fall Day

TOP: SheIn embroidered tie top (only $15!) | SKIRT: Madewell denim skirt | SHOES: BP. booties (old, similar HERE) | EARRINGS: Pearl stud earrings | WATCH: Daniel Wellington leather watch | LIPS: NYX butter lipstick in 'Root Beer Float'

The struggle of early fall in Kansas: when I want to wear cute, new, fall clothes but it still feels like mid-summer outside! Thankfully the skirt trend has come back in full force this season because they, especially this denim skirt, have been my go-to when putting together weather appropriate outfits. Not only are skirts super fun and feminine but when paired with booties they also make the cutest transitional look without getting too toasty.

Embroidered Fall Dress

DRESS: Zara jumpsuit dress (sold out, similar HERE) | CARDIGAN: Old Navy olive cardigan (old, similar HERE) | SHOES: Target booties (old, similar HERE) | EARRINGS: Kendra Scott earrings | LIPS: NYX butter lipstick in 'Root Beer Float'

I know I'll regret saying this, but I'm so envious of everyone who is experiencing fall weather and color-changing leaves right now! Don't get me wrong, I love how warm it is still, but a few fall-like days here and there wouldn't hurt. For now, fall dresses like this embroidered one from Zara, have been my saving grace. They've allowed me to transition my wardrobe without feeling like I'm overheating!

2-Week West Coast Road Trip

It's a good thing I love car rides because my family's road trips are no joke. We have no qualms about spending 15 or more hours in the car and then jam packing a week's worth of activities in a city into one day. While I sometimes feel like I need a vacation from my vacation at the end of a trip, I can't imagine a better way to see the country or spend time with my family.
