90s-Inspired Corduroy

I like to call this my "Ross" shirt. I've been watching Friends for the past month, and this corduroy shirt reminds me exactly of what Ross always wore during the first couple seasons of the show. Although, I will say paired with skinny jeans, booties and tassel earrings, it looks a whole lot less masculine! 

Corduroy is by far my favorite material to wear during the fall and winter. It's extra cozy and adds a touch of unexpected dimension, which I love. The taupe color of this shirt from Scoobie is a perfect neutral for fall, and I also got this shirt in a size large so I could either wear it casually oversized like I did here or as a layering piece. To feminize the slightly masculine top, I styled it with my favorite tassel earrings (currently loving these!) and booties. I also half tucked the shirt so it didn't look like it was swallowing me, but I think it would look super cute knotted at the bottom too with high-waisted jeans if you still wanted to wear it by itself!

Yesterday I got my class schedule for next semester approved, and let's all just shed a tear together really quick... I'll be taking 8 a.m. classes every single day. Thank goodness I started waking up a few hours earlier than I used to simply out of self-discipline this semester, but getting out of bed by 8:30 a.m. is still a struggle for me some mornings, so waking up another hour and a half earlier next semester in the middle of winter should be interesting to say the least!
