It's homecoming week here at K-State, and with another football game this weekend it's time to start figuring out the perfect outfit! I feel like cute purple pieces are so hard to come by, but I found this shirt at Scoobie this weekend and knew the purple plaid would be so fitting for the fall football games.

Comfort is a priority for me when it comes to dressing up for football games, and with temperatures still hitting the high 70s by midday I appreciate how lightweight this shirt is. It's not made of typical flannel material so I don't have to worry about sweating throughout the game. To keep the look simple and comfortable I paired the shirt with mid-rise black jeans, gold hoops and black booties. Cowboy boots are a staple at K-State games, but I thought these western-style fringe booties were a trendy fall alternative. Although if booties sound like torture when standing in the student section for hours, white tennis shoes or blue jeans with cowboy boots would be an even more comfortable alternative! 

I also love how this shirt is more of a deeper purple than the bright K-State royal purple. The muted colors make it much easier to style if you're not a Wildcat fan or want to wear it as a versatile, fall layering piece.
