Rainy Day in Charleston

Rainy days typically put a damper on any outdoor plans, but my family and I didn't let it stop us from enjoying our first day in Charleston the weekend before Christmas. I braided my hair, slipped on my Bean boots and headed out the door eager to explore all day.

On top I wore this super comfy thermal I recently picked up from Urban Outfitters, and I tied it at the bottom to give it a little something extra paired with the cardigan. I found the cardigan at T.J. Maxx, and I was so glad I had it for a little extra warmth on the overcast day. For sizing reference of the thermal, I read in the reviews that the neckline dips really low and to not size up, and I totally agree. I got a size small, and it still fits me the way I like it, a little oversized! 

Hair tip: Braids are my go-to hairstyle for rainy days! My hair gets a little frizzy regardless of how I style it when it's raining outside, but I've found that putting it in two braids makes it much more manageable. Plus, I think it looks pretty cute too! 

Also, if y'all didn't know, my family and I took a week-long vacation to Charleston the week of Christmas! Charleston had been one of the places I had been dying to visit for the longest time and being able to see the city during the holidays was honestly a dream come true! I know I'm posting these pictures SO late, and Christmas seems like it was forever ago. But hopefully y'all are still excited to hear about my experience! I'll be sharing another outfit from my trip tomorrow, and then Thursday I will be sharing my travel diary from our trip.
