I know Valentine's Day isn't really anyone's favorite holiday, but I think it's all what you make of it! I personally enjoy everything the day brings – mainly chocolate and more chocolate in my case – and for the past two years, I even got a little thrill in seeing other girls get flowers delivered to them at my sorority house! By the way, shoutout to my mom for always sending me flowers and making sure I didn't feel left out when I was #single haha! Anyways, I always love browsing through the Valentine's gift sections – I have a weak spot for anything pink – and I thought I'd share with y'all some of my favorites this year!
If you're shopping for your significant other... For some couples, flowers and a special date night are more than enough to celebrate Valentine's Day, but if you like to give gifts, too, I have a few ideas to share! In my opinion, men are the hardest to shop for, especially when it comes to Valentine's Day, but when I was taking blog pictures a couple weeks ago, my boyfriend commented on how nice my watch from JORD was, which got to me thinking about how perfect one of their wood watches would be as a gift for the men in your lives, too! JORD has tons of masculine styles that are absolutely stunning right now! (P.s. I have a giveaway going on right now HERE)
Now, if on the other hand, you're looking for ideas to drop some hints for you boyfriend, I'm a firm believer that jewelry is always the perfect present this time of year. One can't go wrong with a simple pair of gold hoops, a dainty necklace or a more personalized birthstone ring. New perfume is another classic gift – this one by Marc Jacobs is my favorite – as well as a luxurious blanket if y'all are planning on spending a cozy night in.
If you're shopping for your gal pals... If you're single, I think Valentine's Day is the perfect time to show a little extra love to your friends! You can always get a group together to buy face masks, candy and wine and have a girls night watching rom coms in the comfort of your pajamas. I also think small gifts like hair bows or lipsticks can be the perfect way to brighten your friends' day!
If you're shopping for yourself... Whether you're dressing for date night or have your eye on something nice, Valentine's Day is the perfect excuse to treat yourself! It's supposed to be pretty chilly here in Kansas next week, so I would probably opt for more cozy date-night pieces like this blush scarf, a sweater dress or a fun pink turtleneck. There is tons of cute holiday loungewear out right now – like this red jogger set and this pink heart sweatshirt – that I think would be fun to treat yourself to for the tail end of winter as well!
Do y'all have any plans for Valentine's Day yet? I'm not quite sure what I'm doing yet, but I'd love to know what you have in store!
