Let me just start this off by saying that in class I am the absolute worst at sitting and listening to audio. If there isn't a visual to go along with whatever is being said, my ears instantly turn off, so naturally, I assumed that I would hate podcasts. Boy was I wrong! Up until three months ago, I refused to even give them a try, but now podcasts are something I listen to on a regular basis. Whether I'm driving to class, putting away dishes or playing on the floor with my cat, I've found podcasts to be such an entertaining form of background noise. So, with the start of spring, I thought today would be the perfect time to share all of my favorites!
SHE
I like to describe this podcast as the big sister we all wish we had! Jordan Lee Dooley is a boss babe in every sense of the word, but she is also rooted in Christian values that allow her to share solid advice centered on faith. Not only is she incredibly relatable and humorous but, in her podcast, she also talks about topics that are relevant to every twenty-something woman trying to navigate this crazy thing called life! SHE was the first podcast I ever listened to, and I haven't stopped since!
Off The Vine
If you're Bachelor fanatic like myself, you will absolutely love this podcast by Kaitlyn Bristowe! Those who watched Kaitlyn's season of The Bachelorette know that she is flipping hilarious, and on her podcast, she frequently brings in other favorites from The Bachelor where she gets them to spill the tea on everything you would want to know. Simply put, Off The Vine is the gift that keeps on giving for every Bachelor-obsessed girl out there!
The Morning Toast
This podcast is so popular; I feel like everyone and their mother listens to it! Essentially, The Morning Toast talks about the top five pop culture news stories of the day. While I don't listen to this one as regularly as the rest of the podcasts on this list, I love to hear the two hosts' commentary! The intros are a little long – about 20 minutes – but I usually just fast forward to when they start talking about the first news story. Also, I'm currently on the hunt for a short and entertaining podcast about hard news topics, too, so if you have any suggestions let me know!
The Porch
I've been following The Porch ever since my friend Nicole introduced me to it over a year ago, so as soon as I discovered that they have a podcast, I was ecstatic! The Porch is a young adult ministry based out of Dallas that covers a wide variety of topics such as love, partying, ambition and more from a Christian perspective. I also think it's a great tool to help understand some of the Bible's teachings and would recommend it to anyone looking to further explore or grow in their faith.
Gals on the Go
For all my college gals out there, this one is for you! One of my favorite Youtubers, Danielle Carolan, and Brooke Miccio – both students at the University of Georgia – share college-related advice in an extremely entertaining and transparent fashion. As a senior in college, a lot of this podcast's episodes are a little irrelevant to me, but I wanted to be sure to share this one for all my younger readers who are either getting ready to start or in their first couple years!
Often Ambitious
This podcast is definitely targeted to all the ladies with an entrepreneurial spirit like myself! From business advice to bringing in an array of guests who are experts in the digital sphere, this podcast offers a little bit of everything. Developing a brand that is both unique and sustainable is tricky in today's oversaturated digital landscape, but these ladies aim to simplify it with insider knowledge. I cannot recommend this podcast enough, especially to all my fellow bloggers out there!
What are y'all's favorite podcasts? As you can see, I'm definitely into lifestyle content, but I'd love to hear all the podcasts you're loving in the comments below!
